Sometimes it is deemed necessary to have visitation between a parent and a child supervised by a third-party. This visitation can occur with a family member or a trusted friend supervising. But sometimes it is necessary to have an independent, objective observer provide the supervision. That supervisor is charged with enforcing the rules and conditions imposed by the court and reporting to the court and attorneys about what happened during the visitation. We stand ready to help.
We offer our services to rural Oklahoma including Creek, Pawnee, Osage, Washington, Payne, Lincoln, Logan, and Okmulgee Counties. We will make every effort to ensure that the family only has one supervisor for their visitation. We seek to develop relationships between the supervisor and the parents to promote the relationship between the parent and child while complying with all applicable Court orders. Our personnel are trained to detect dangerous conditions and will and terminate visitation when it is not safe.
We will first conduct an intake with each of the parties to learn about their needs and expectations. We will then conduct a review of the court records to identify any risk factors and determine the events that are alleged to have necessitated the supervision. We will then ensure the same supervisor is present for each visitation whenever possible. Within seven days of the visitation, we will provide a professional report to the court and the attorneys in the case describing in detail the events and observations made during the visitation. We will then be available to testify in court if needed.
